Qualitative researcher
PhD in Sociology and Social Policy from Trinity College Dublin, Mairéad worked at the Centre for Global Health at TCD, on PERFORM2Scale, a H2020 programme to scale-up management strengthening at district level in Ghana, Malawi and Uganda. Mairéad has substantial research experience in qualitative research methodologies and evaluations, on topics related to capacity strengthening, nutrition, education, social policy and migration, and her work is guided by the principles of equity and social justice in global health. Mairéad has also worked as a coordinator for the Trinity International Development Initiative and the Development Studies Association of Ireland. Dr Mairéad analyses qualitative data and coordinates policy implementation studies in the SURG-Africa project.
